This week we started discussing the very beginning of our Presidential Campaign project - remember, this project will take the place of a test this unit. Also, this project will be completed over the next 7+ weeks, working bit by bit in class, so it should not feel overwhelming at all.
On Thursday, you were to figure out if you wanted to run as a Dem/ Rep/ or 3rd party. Also, you needed to find 6 states that you would "campaign" in. You did this by comparing historical election maps and ensuring that the states you choose would rally behind you.
Homework
As we continue through this unit, I want for you to start discussing politics at home with your family as homework. Look at campaigns and posters together - look for any significance to the campaigns. Are the candidates offensive or defensive? Are they using certain colors in their campaign ads? Are they using certain symbols repeatedly?
Don't just focus on now, look at previous elections as well.
Test corrections are due by Wednesday, Oct 5th If you need your question numbers, email me.
Don't forget to email me with any questions you have [email protected]
